On May 23, a conference on the topic “Heydar Aliyev and the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan – the legal basis of a sovereign state” was held, dedicated to the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty”, organized by the Supreme Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

At the event, the dear memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who gave their lives for the sovereignty of our country was commemorated with a minute of silence, then the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played. The event continued with the presentation of a video clip dedicated to the history of the Constitution of the Independent Republic of Azerbaijan.

In her introductory speech, the Chairperson of the Supreme Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Saadat Bektashi, provided information about the importance of the Constitution as an important part of Azerbaijan's history of independence, its place in the process of forming the country's legal framework and modern judicial and legal system.

At the event, the Judge  of the Supreme Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Sakhavat Novruzov, the Chairman of the Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on Grave Crimes Huseyn Mammadov, the Judge of the Administrative Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Tural Aliyev  and the Chairman of the Shahbuz District Court Dashgin Safarov spoke on the topic.
