In connection with the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty”, the Constitutional Olympics stage of the “Constitutional Marathon” project was held with the joint organization of the Supreme Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Nakhchivan State University.

The event began with a minute of silence in memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who gave their lives for the sovereignty of our country. Then the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.

In the first stage of the Olympiad, in which a total of six teams of students studying Law at Nakhchivan State University competed, the teams were presented with 30 test questions prepared based on the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The 5 successful teams gained the right to participate in the next stage. The final stage of the Olympiad, a debate, took place with the participation of the winning teams of the second stage.

The winning team will be awarded at the closing ceremony of the “Constitutional Marathon” project.

The next stages of the project will include court simulations, stagings on the application of constitutional norms, as well as meetings of subjects with judges, question-and-answer sessions, and panel discussions.
